I have been spending a ton of time in the Vantage. Started Saturday at 6:30am in the NSB back country catching redfish and trout, action died off around 11, so we made a big move out of Ponce and ended up around 9 miles off the beach chasing Bonito schools with jigs and bottom fishing some rock piles. Made a monster run back to JB’s for dinner, then went dock fishing for snook and trout. Finally put the boat back on the trailer around 10:15pm and home by 10:30pm… exhausted. Boat was flawless – floated shallow in the morning and handled the inlet chop and the offshore ground swell like a champ. I am convinced that the Vantage VHP with the 90 Etec is the perfect setup to float shallow and run all day on a single tank cruising in the high 30’s.
